Every Animal Deserves a Second Chance

New Home, New Life is the promise made to every homeless cat and dog that comes into the care of 4 Paws Animal Rescue.

Neeko the Pomeranian may be 10 years old and living with medical issues, but the tiny senior still has plenty of love and life left in him.

He’s one of more than 100 cats and dogs supported through 4 Paws Animal Rescue’s Permanent Resident Program, created for animals who may otherwise struggle to find a home.

Neeko came into care with a luxating patella and a collapsing trachea – conditions that can make dogs harder to rehome through traditional adoption models.

“Dogs like Neeko are exactly why we created the program,” said 4 Paws patron, Ashley Robinson.

“Senior animals or those with medical or behavioural challenges are often overlooked through no fault of their own.”

Under the program, 4 Paws covers veterinary care for life, helping foster carers open their homes to vulnerable animals.

Neeko has found his happy ever after, but other dogs and cats are still waiting for their chance.

To help continue programs like this, 4 Paws Animal Rescue is preparing for it’s annual Santa Paws Walk in the Park fundraiser on July 19 at Lake Kawana, with all funds raised supporting rescue animals.
