Thank you for choosing to partner with Caloundra Chronicle (CC) to promote your business. We value your trust and aim to deliver exceptional service and results through our magazine, website, e-newsletter, and social media platforms. Below are the key details of our advertising process and what you can expect:
1. Advertising Availability and Alignment
• Advertising space is subject to availability and approval by Caloundra Chronicle.
• Caloundra Chronicle reserves the right to refuse, cancel, or remove advertising content at its discretion where material is considered misleading, offensive, defamatory, unlawful, or inconsistent with the publication’s standards and values.
2. Submitting Your Booking
• When you submit an Advertising Booking Contract, you confirm that:
A. You are authorised to represent the business listed on the form.
B. You have reviewed and agree to the terms outlined here.
C. You will adhere to our advertising rates, artwork deadlines, and payment terms.
• Your booking and contractual commitment are confirmed once the signed Advertising Booking Contract is received and accepted by Caloundra Chronicle. Publication is subject to compliance with payment terms, submission of materials by the relevant deadlines, and approval of advertising content.
3. Cancellations, Postponements and Changes
• Single-edition bookings may be cancelled in writing up to 7 days prior to the advertising booking deadline. Cancellations received after this time will incur a 100% cancellation fee for the reserved advertising space.
• Multi-edition advertising packages constitute a fixed-term booking commitment for the full agreed contract period and are non-cancellable once confirmed.
• If a multi-edition advertising agreement is terminated early by the advertiser, Caloundra Chronicle reserves the right to recalculate all previously published advertisements at the applicable casual advertising rate, with any outstanding balance becoming immediately payable.
• Advertisers on multi-edition contracts may postpone up to two (2) booked advertisements during the contract term, provided written notice is received prior to the applicable booking deadline and subject to availability.
• Any postponed advertisements must be rebooked and published within three (3) months of the original contract end date. Unused postponed placements remaining after this period will be forfeited and are non-refundable.
• Advertising materials, artwork approvals, and amendment requests must be submitted by the applicable booking deadlines. Where artwork proofs are supplied, the advertiser is responsible for carefully reviewing all content prior to publication. If approval or amendment requests are not received by the specified deadline, the proof will be deemed approved for publication.
• If advertising materials are not supplied by the booking deadline, Caloundra Chronicle reserves the right to repeat previously supplied artwork, use placeholder content, or omit publication of the advertisement while retaining full payment rights for the reserved advertising space.
• Any changes requested after the booking deadline are subject to approval by Caloundra Chronicle and may incur additional production or design fees.
4. Quality Assurance
• We will ensure your advertisement meets our quality standards. If submitted artwork does not meet technical specifications, we may make adjustments to fit the allocated space.
• For best results, please provide artwork according to CC’s technical guidelines. We cannot guarantee reproduction quality for non-compliant files.
5. Limitation of Liability
• Caloundra Chronicle’s liability for any error, omission, misprint, delay, or failure to publish an advertisement is limited to the cost of the relevant advertising placement. Caloundra Chronicle will not be liable for any indirect, consequential, reputational, or business losses arising from the publication, delay, or non-publication of advertising content.
6. Your Rights and Responsibilities
• All advertisements and materials must comply with relevant laws and regulations. You confirm you have the right to use all provided content, including images and text.
• You indemnify CC against any claims arising from copyright, trademark, or legal infringements related to your materials.
• Please ensure all image credits are provided, and any permissions for third-party content are secured.
7. Payment Terms
• Payment is required in accordance with the terms specified on your invoice. Caloundra Chronicle reserves the right to withhold publication of future advertising for overdue accounts.
• Late payments may incur additional fees, including interest, debt collection, and court costs if applicable.
• Additional services, such as graphic design or modifications, will be invoiced accordingly.
8. Commitment to Delivering Value
• CC is dedicated to publishing your advertisement as agreed. However, delays may occur due to unforeseen circumstances, such as acts of nature, or technical issues. We will communicate promptly about any changes to publication schedules.
• Delays or rescheduling caused by circumstances beyond Caloundra Chronicle’s reasonable control do not invalidate the advertiser’s payment obligations under the agreement.
9. Partnership Agreement
• This document represents our complete agreement and ensures transparency between all parties. It supersedes prior communications and negotiations.
At Caloundra Chronicle, we’re dedicated to showcasing your business within our community while upholding the highest standards of integrity. If you have any questions or need assistance, our team is here to support you. Together, let’s make your campaign a success!
