Bianco Italian Cuisine & Bar couldn’t have timed it better. Opening right in the midst of the bustling holiday season, seasoned restaurateur Ibrahim Haddad unveiled his latest refined dining and bar experience to downtown Caloundra. The stylish Mediterranean-inspired interior and high-end dining offerings, attracted eager crowds of locals and tourists.
Ibrahim (or Bob as he is commonly known) of the much-loved Il Vento in Mooloolaba and Brisbane’s Il Verde, has roots in Lebanon and more than two decades of Italian culinary experience. He brings a deep passion for the flavours that unite the Mediterranean: simple ingredients, fresh seasonal produce, quality flour and olive oil.
After honing his craft in Italian kitchens and developing recipes alongside Italian flour technicians, he’s created a menu that blends Italian tradition with what Australians love most about dining out: great food, warm service and a sense of escape.
For Bob, life is built on five essentials: family, friendship, food, finance and fitness. These pillars inform everything at Bianco, where the goal is simple yet meaningful — to connect emotionally with customers, making them feel at home and valued. “Home is where the heart is,” Bob explains, “and we aim to provide good service and value for money, creating an Italian eating experience right here in Caloundra.”
The open-kitchen restaurant, with its curved banquette seating and cafe curtains serves refined classics including handmade pasta, pizza and other Mediterranean mouthwaterers.
Meanwhile, the chocolate-toned wine bar, with its swivel bar stools, recessed lighting and booth seating, offers seasonal small plates paired with signature cocktails and a curated selection of fine wines you can browse straight from the shelf.
At street level of Bianco Apartments, corner of Bulcock and Tay, Bob and his hospitable team have brought fresh Mediterranean soul to Caloundra, elevating the dining scene and giving us all another excellent reason to style up and step out.
