Hey, it’s a big wave from Kings Beach Surf Club, the business arm supporting Metropolitan Caloundra SLSC, and we’re heading into a very exciting September. Why, you may well ask?
Firstly, the long-awaited renovation of the club is nearly complete, and we should be fully up and running by the school holidays.
The club has remained open through most of the construction, and we’ve been incredibly grateful for the professionalism of local building company Farago, who have been awesome through some challenging periods.
We’re nearly there! With a new kitchen, bar and gaming room, a revamped bistro and our legendary Deck Bar, we’re looking forward to unveiling the completed works by mid-September.
A big shout out to our loyal customers and members who have supported us throughout this period. Thank you.
Of course, the other exciting news is that patrol season kicks off on September 19. We’ll be operating out of containers until the new Boatshed is completed in early to mid-2027. Thanks to the Sunshine Coast Council and Hutchinson Builders, the finished facility will provide our patrolling members, lifeguard service and the community with a state-of-the-art lifesaving hub.
