Salty Fishing Charters is launching a practical, on-water bar crossing tuition experience, backed by more than 30 years of real-world coastal bar crossing expertise.
While the focus is on the Caloundra Bar, the skills taught are applicable to coastal bars across Australia.Participants will learn how to read swell and conditions, select the safest line, time their run, and make sound decisions as conditions change.
This is not classroom-based theory. Training takes place on the water, in real conditions, under the guidance of a highly experienced charter skipper. You will actively cross the bar, gaining transferable skills that build confidence, judgement and situational awareness offshore.
If you fish, dive, or regularly transit coastal bars to access offshore waters, this is practical knowledge that can fundamentally change the way you approach boating.
