Aura’s newest shopping destination has officially opened, bringing a major line-up of national retailers, hundreds of local jobs and a new one-stop shopping precinct to the southern Sunshine Coast.
Aura Home + Life opened its doors in August following years of planning and an $80 million investment by Capital Property Group.
The 20,000sqm large-format retail precinct is now fully leased, with TK Maxx, Adairs, Baby Bunting and Café 63 among the final retailers to join the line-up.
They join Rebel, The Good Guys, Spotlight, Anaconda, Harris Scarfe, Supercheap Auto, Beacon Lighting, Petstock and Pillow Talk, giving shoppers access to everything from homewares and fashion to sporting, automotive and family essentials.
Capital Property Group Head of Property Richard Snow said the calibre of retailers reflected growing confidence in the region.
“National retailers don’t make location decisions based purely on what’s here today – they’re investing based on where communities are heading over the next 10 to 20 years,” he said.
The precinct features 12 large-format tenancies ranging from around 350sqm to 5,000sqm, along with Café 63 and approximately 400 car parks.
For Aura, Caloundra and surrounding communities, the new centre means more shopping options closer to home, while creating hundreds of local employment opportunities.
The community will have the chance to celebrate the new precinct at Aura Home + Life Community Day on Saturday, 12 September, from 10am to 1pm.
Families are invited to come along, explore the new shopping destination and enjoy free children’s activities.
