Connect Caloundra Forum

I am pleased to share with our community that I have assembled a group of influential and experienced stakeholders to form the Connect Caloundra Forum.

This forum has been established to discuss, brainstorm and implement practical strategies and actions that address the traffic and active transport concerns our Caloundra community experiences each day.

Caloundra continues to experience significant growth, and with that growth comes increasing pressure on our local road networks, pedestrian pathways and cycling infrastructure. The Connect Caloundra Forum has been created to bring together key decision-makers and community representatives to collaboratively identify solutions and advocate for improved connectivity and safer transport options across the region.

Key representatives include Sunshine Coast Council divisional councillors and representatives, officers from Caloundra Police Station and the Highway Patrol, the Caloundra Chamber of Commerce, SCBUG, Sidelines Traffic, academics from the University of the Sunshine Coast, and principals from local state primary and secondary schools, along with the presidents of the Caloundra Residents Association and the Bell Vista and Bells Reach Community Associations, who understand the daily challenges faced by residents, commuters and local businesses.

The forum will provide an opportunity to share insights, identify priority areas and work collaboratively towards practical improvements that benefit the entire Caloundra community.

The group will meet quarterly, and I look forward to keeping the community informed after each meeting by sharing updates and progress as we work together to deliver positive outcomes for Caloundra.
