The Ballroom to the Dance Floor

Presented by the Sunshine Coast Symphony Orchestra, The Ballroom to the Dance Floor is a lively orchestral journey through the history of dance music. The program explores everything from elegant Baroque court dances and grand ballroom waltzes to swing, tango and disco favourites. Audiences will enjoy works by Gluck, Strauss, Brahms, Dvořák, Kats-Chernin, Glenn Miller, Márquez and Piazzolla, alongside a special orchestral arrangement of ABBA’s Dancing Queen.
